Alon Shabo

" I'm always envious of creators whose pieces remain intact, without spoiling so quickly, so there is a ‘justification’ for the large investment in one item. The experience of a cake that lasts for more than one day can only exist with the help photography, which is why documentation is such an important component of my work "

A defining moment, or a turning point in your career that you particularly remember?

The moment I decided to leave my studies at the Faculty of Dentistry at Tel Aviv University. At the time I was not only a confectioner, I was also studying to be a dentist. It might seem strange, but there is a lot in common between these two fields. The precision, the meticulousness, the aesthetics and the craftsmanship. I chose to focus on the field that I thought could make more people happy, as well as myself.

" As a typical Generation-Y, I am interested and involved in many fields simultaneously, including physical & online teaching, and soon in face-to-face sales of my products. In the future, I dream of establishing a school. But as time passes and my various achievements grow and expand, the Gen-Y in me relaxes and evolves into a search for a more stable, permanent place. Like the good old cliché, what do we all desire at the end of the day? Balance and stability. "
